Post #6 - What I Learned From Steve Jobs (Free Post)

So far, I think I have learned a great amount for it just being the beginning of the semester. From one of my most previous posts, about Steve Jobs, I was able to understand more about Marketing than I did before watching the video on him. It opened my eyes to Marketing as not just something you can learn, but it's something that stems from who you are. It comes from creativity and thinking outside of the box, and Steve Jobs knew that very well! I think that Jobs was right when he discussed values and core values, because it does have a lot to do with the marketing world itself. It's causing companies to promote what they believe in so the consumers and the rest of the world can relate to this belief, thereby deciding to go ahead and purchase whatever the company might be selling. I think what I mostly learned from Steve Jobs was that for a company to be successful, they need to promote their beliefs, and not just the product itself, so the public can grasp and relate to them.

  1. Steve Jobs is certainly big symbol to the business world. When you watch his movie, you just want to do the same thing and get the same result that he did. But other than his story of life is very interesting, there is a video on his speech to Stanford University which is very touching as well. If you are interested in him I recommend you both the movie and the video.

    1. I agree. I think he was and will always be a major symbol that represented successful marketing. Thank you for the suggestion! I do have an interest in Steve Jobs in general, so I will definitely look up the video. I've only seen parts of the movie so when I find the time I'll be watching the whole thing:)
